THE DAY THE UNIVERSE CHANGED
I don't think the universe makes announcements when something important begins.
There are no stars rearranging themselves, no extraordinary music playing somewhere in the distance, no sudden realization that the future has quietly changed its direction.
Sometimes, it begins with a conversation.
A random moment. A few words exchanged without knowing how much meaning they might eventually carry.
And then time passes.
Someone who was once a stranger becomes a familiar name on a screen. Conversations become part of your routine. Small details begin to matter. A person slowly finds a place in your world without either of you knowing exactly when it happened.
Looking back, I think that is what makes beginnings so strange.
You never really know which ordinary moment you will someday wish you could revisit.
I cannot point to a single second and say that was when everything changed.
Maybe it happened gradually.
Maybe it was hidden somewhere between all the conversations, the laughter, and the little things that seemed unimportant at the time.
But somewhere along the way, you stopped being just another person I had met.
You became someone whose presence mattered to me in ways I hadn't planned.
And if I could preserve one thing about the beginning of our story, it wouldn't be a perfect photograph or a beautifully written sentence.
It would be the feeling of not knowing what was coming next.
Because I had no idea how many memories were waiting for us.
I only knew that I was getting to know you.
And I am glad I did.
ARCHIVE NOTE: Some beginnings become important only after we have lived far enough beyond them to understand what they meant.
